2100 Miles Of Racing
The Iditarod and Yukon Quest...
10 Days Apart

Most Recent Audio Update:
5th Place! - Post Race Report
From Aaron Burmeister

Current Location:
Fairbanks, Alaska

About The Journey:

The 1000 mile Yukon Quest is known as the toughest sled dog race in the world, and the 1100 mile Iditarod is nicknamed 'The Last Great Race'.

The winner of the Yukon Quest finishes that race roughly 10 days before the start of the Iditarod.

Running one or the other is difficult. Experienced mushers will tell you that the effects of extreme sleep deprivation will last for weeks after completing either of the races. You'd have to be crazy to run both in the same year, right?

Well, not if you are Aaron Burmeister. Aaron is tackling the two toughest dog races in the world... with a 10 day break between the two. Follow his journey here.

Updates will be made via satellite phone at random intervals - Check back often!
